Family Connections:
Military Support
Build a network of support with monthly activities!
Being a military family is a unique and special experience, and we are honored to work with you to connect you with resources and other families who have had similar experiences.
All Family Connections activities will continue as planned during the goverment shutdown. With the ACS office staff on furlough, please contact Heather Lamb for any questions or to register for Camo & Kids events. During this time, registration is not required but is encouraged.
Camo & Kids
There are free monthly activities providing the military parent and their child(ren) a special evening to meet and have fun with other military families. Activities are typically held the third Thursday of every month unless otherwise announced.
Discovery Time Playgroup
A free weekly playgroup for military parents with children ages 0 to 5 is held Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.—11:30 a.m. Playgroup includes parent and child enrichment activities, information on parenting issues, networking opportunities, and field trips to local family attractions.
Please check the monthly flyer for location details and upcoming events.
Monthly Newsletter
Each month, EveryChild, in collaboration with the Rock Island Arsenal Family Advocacy Program, creates a newsletter full of helpful parenting tips and activities for the entire family to explore! Check out this month’s newsletter here!
